T’was the hottest day of the year in Chicago, the trolley’s AC broke, and yet Mia and Preston couldn’t look happier. It tells you a lot about them to know that their first concern was not for themselves, the photos, or the timeline, but wanting to make sure their wedding party was feeling fine in the extreme heat. You couldn’t know a kind, sweeter or more considerate couple.
From my first conversation with Mia, I knew that their wedding at the Harold Washington Library was going to be gorgeous. After our conversation I also knew that Mia is the exactly kind of person I love to work with. She’s a teacher with a big heart for her students (see the back of the table numbers that were designed by her students!) and her love of reading drew her to the iconic Chicago library.
They chose a classic black suit for the groomsmen and a vibrant pink, yellow, orange and blue color palette for her bridesmaids dresses. The matching bridesmaids florals were made by the wedding party and her bouquet from Flowers for Dreams looked amazing paired together.
My favorite photos of the day HAVE to be the ceremony in the Winter Garden at the venue. The stunning location, Mia’s dress, the balcony for wide shots, it all come together so perfectly!!
Congratulations to Mia & Preston!
