Bride & Groom Renew Their Vows Where They First Met at Cantigny in Wheaton, IL

Ryan and Giselle’s wedding was postponed three times, but you would never know from the looks on their faces all day. They got married June 18 of 2020 and they appreciated the celebration even more special because of the wait. I guess third time is the charm!

Giselle & Ryan met at Cantigny golf course where they both started working as caddies at 13. Eventually they became friends and would car pool to work, and then Ryan asked Giselle out after her last day of work there. Ryan proposed at their apartment so it could be a special intimate moment together, and their love for shared moments together also was part of their celebration when they renewed their vows in a quiet moment together at the park. One of Giselle’s favorite moments from the day was how Ryan looked at her when they read their vows, and it’s a memory she will never forget.

Through all the reschedules, postponements, and late nights of planning, they both enjoyed every minute of making this day come together. Having their closest friends with them, seeing their family and sharing special moments with their parents, and getting to have everyone all together finally was something they said made it all worth it. Giselle had a special moment with her mom at the end of the night hugging her and crying tears of joy and gratitude that it all came together for them. Waiting, uncertainty, patience and so many other things went into Giselle & Ryan finally getting to celebrate their love with the people closest to them, and their story is a good reminder that all of the hardships mean nothing compared to the joy memories you’ll have when you finally get to be around those you love most.
