Late Summer Succulent & Purple Themed Midway Village Museum in Rockford, Illinois

Jeff and Carole got married on the most beautiful September Saturday. When we sat down for our first meeting, their connection and excitement for the wedding was undeniable. Their wedding day started with them getting ready at family member’s houses near their venue at Midway Village Museum in Rockford. The girls were sipping mimosas and blasting Lizzo (is there a better way to start a wedding day?!). Carole was so relaxed the whole time, and between photographing their details (which included succulent bouquets and purple Birkenstocks) and getting ready shots, they were constantly joking and laughing!

The bride finished getting ready at the bridal suite at the museum, which was covered in beautiful floral wallpaper. Jeffrey waited in the covered porch to see Carole just minutes before they became husband and wife. Jeff was beaming and in awe of how beautiful Carole looked, and Carole’s dad was brought to tears seeing his little girl in white on her wedding day during their first look.

Their wedding ceremony was outside, under the gazebo with their close friends and family watching. I think one of my favorite shots was Carole with her grandma, because her personality and laughter was so memorable during their family formals, and it makes me smile even now looking at their photos!!

Their reception at Forest Hills Lodge next to the Rockford Speedway featured twinkling lights, cupcakes that were to dieeee for, and a touching speech from Carole’s dad. They danced the night away, and ended the night with a colorful glow stick send off!!! Jeff and Carole are kind, quick to laugh, easygoing, and genuine. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Gauthier!!!
