September Historical Midway Village Museum Garden Wedding in Rockford, IL

When I first met Chelsea & Chuck, I knew we would be instant friends. We had such a great connection, and I couldn’t wait for their wedding at Midway Village on September 1, 2019. Chelsea told me she’s a fellow Patriots fan and I was sold! We had a blast laughing and talking for their fall engagement photos in 2018 at Midway in Rockford, listening to stories about her tattoos and talking about their wedding plans. Chuck picked out a beautiful rose gold engagement ring, and Chelsea’s wedding band was the perfect compliment to it!

Chelsea’s wedding dress has a blush train that looked stunning on her! Her jewelry had rose gold to match her wedding band set, and she made her and her bridesmaids’ beautiful bouquets herself. Chuck got his groomsmen the coolest pocket watches as gifts…and a personalized hatchet…which they had waaaaaay too much fun with for pictures.

By far the most special part of the day was their first look. There was a beautiful flower garden bursting with September blooms. Chuck’s grin turned to a bigger smile, and some emotional tears when he turned to see his bride. After a sweet moment together, they had personal vows they wrote for each other during their private moment. They rock-paper-scissored over who would start…Chuck lost, but had the most beautiful words written to Chelsea. Their family got to watch from afar, but Chuck still saved a big smile for when Chelsea walked down the aisle!

After their sweet and funny ceremony (see the cross eyed look from the ring bearer during the ring exchange) they had a bbq buffet, sentimental speeches, and the funniest shoe game that had the guests in tears from laughing!! We ended the night with portraits by the sunflower fields and a concert where Chuck and his best man showed us all how to do the two-step and cowboy boogie 😉 Congratulations Mr and Mrs Mercurio!!
